Silver Linings has been proven successful in classrooms, community centers, and short term rescue shelters after 9/11, during the aftermath of weather related disasters, in areas of civil unrest, and when counselors are called to assist youth when violence and other tragedies occur. "We were close to ground zero and used Silver Linings to help the families in our community. The feedback from the parents was wonderful. The children were more open at home and at ease talking about their feelings. Working with the materials, I personally think it is an excellent program." Janet Kelly, Staten Island, NY "Silver Linings was user friendly. Children and teachers/counselors enjoyed using it. Children were engaged in the participants' pages and had a lot to share. Working with Silver Linings seemed to normalize the reality of their loss." Barbara Elordi, San Franciso, CA
