Young Professionals Board
Rainbows Young Professional’s Board (YPB) is an advisory board of women and men, ages 25 to 40 who have a fervent belief in the Rainbows mission and possess a dedication to the success of the organization. The purpose of YPB is the philanthropic support of Rainbows, as well as to have an impact on the long term sustainability, public awareness, and delivery of Rainbows services. This is achieved by hosting a variety of events, fundraising initiatives, volunteer service, community education, and advocacy. The main objectives of YPB is to advise and support the organization and its board. Advice could come in the form of technical expertise and assessment of various programs. The YPB supports the organization by fundraising, serving as advocates and public relations representatives, or as liaisons between constituents and the organization. The YPB may also be the introductory stepping stones for future governing board members or they can provide a continual opportunity for involvement for retiring board members.
